Center Street Media Launches as Provo's Groundbreaking Athlete-Driven Content Network
Launched by College Sports Co. in partnership with a major BYU Donor Group, Center Street Media will drive new NIL revenue for BYU student-athletes.
Provo, UT – November 12, 2024 – College Sports Co., in collaboration with a major BYU Donor Group, proudly announces the launch of Center Street Media, a pioneering athlete-driven content network. This innovative platform will feature multiple shows, podcasts, social media series, and content featuring current and former BYU athletes, creating unique opportunities for athletes to maximize their NIL potential through original content and sponsorships. The majority of the network’s revenue will be directed toward BYU athletics' NIL initiatives.
Center Street Media signifies a transformative evolution in NIL strategy, as universities, athletes, and donor groups pursue sustainable revenue-generating models to support current athletes and enhance recruiting efforts. By establishing an engaging media network, Center Street Media bridges the gap between fans’ demand for compelling content and athletes' desire to share their stories, generating impactful and monetizable media opportunities.
Danny Walker, BYU Alumni and Donor, said about the initiative,
“We are excited to work with College Sports Co. to launch Center Street Media. This is a game-changer for BYU athletes, offering them an innovative way to connect with fans, grow their brands, and excel in the NIL space. It’s a bold step forward that will ensure BYU fans have great content and athletes have more NIL revenue.”
Porter Grieve, CEO of College Sports Co., emphasized the significance of the partnership:
“Center Street Media is not just a media network; it’s the future of NIL in college athletics. This partnership allows us to reshape how athletes monetize their brands while driving sustainable revenue to support BYU’s NIL initiatives. We’re building a dynamic ecosystem that will generate millions in NIL revenue and leave a lasting impact on the college sports landscape.”
Center Street Media will deliver a diverse range of original content, including exclusive interviews with BYU athletes and coaches, behind-the-scenes insights, and engaging storytelling that deepens fans’ connections to their favorite Cougars. Over the coming months, fans can anticipate a variety of content series, experiences, and events designed to strengthen the bond between athletes and the BYU community.
“Having been both an athlete and a creator, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible power of athlete-driven content to connect with fans and shape personal brands in ways traditional media cannot,” said Adam Breneman, co-founder of College Sports Co. “With Center Street Media, we’re providing BYU athletes with a platform to authentically tell their stories, reach broader audiences, and create lasting connections with their community.
