Knoxville, TN – October 17, 2024 – Today, The Volunteer Club, the official NIL collective of Tennessee Athletics, is proud to announce the launch of Rock Media, in partnership with The College Sports Company and NOCAP Sports. Rock Media provides new opportunities for University of Tennessee athletes and the collective to maximize NIL potential through original content and unique sponsorship opportunities. The collaboration represents a significant evolution in how NIL collectives, universities, and athletes generate revenue while empowering athletes to tell their stories and connect with fans.

Mackenzie Mulvey, VP of Partnerships for The Volunteer Club, expressed her excitement:

“We are thrilled to partner with College Sports Co. and NOCAP Sports to launch Rock Media. This is a game-changer for Tennessee athletes, providing them with new, innovative ways to connect with fans, grow their brands, and excel in the NIL space. Rock Media is a bold step forward in driving new partnership opportunities for our athletes.”

This initiative is a new medium for sustainable and consistent revenue generation through content with current and former athletes. Rock Media bridges the gap between fans’ appetite for engaging content and the athletes’ ability to deliver, creating scalable, monetizable media opportunities.

Porter Grieve, CEO of The College Sports Company, commented on the significance of the collaboration:

“Rock Media is not just a media network; it’s the future of NIL at Tennessee. This partnership allows us to reshape the way athletes monetize their brands while also generating sustainable revenue for the university. We are building a powerful ecosystem that drives millions in NIL revenue and creates lasting impact on the college sports landscape.”

Rock Media leverages the combined expertise of The College Sports Company, known for producing top-tier media content, NOCAP Sports, a leader in sports sponsorships and influencer marketing, alongside The Volunteer Club, nationally renowned for innovation in the NIL and collegiate marketing spaces. Together, they will create dynamic content featuring University of Tennessee student-athletes and offer brands new, innovative ways to engage with college sports.

Nicholas Lord, CEO of NOCAP Sports, emphasized the revenue opportunity:

“Rock Media creates a direct pathway for brands to engage with the passionate Tennessee fanbase and community in a meaningful and measurable way. This platform allows businesses to not only support Tennessee athletes and their success, but also see a real return on investment through innovative marketing opportunities.”

The launch of Rock Media marks a pivotal moment in NIL at the University of Tennessee, providing a platform for athletes to share their journeys and connect with fans on a deeper level. This media network serves as a foundation for engaging brands in sponsorship opportunities, enhancing current revenue streams, and creating new ones, all while helping athletes build their personal brands and maximize NIL potential.

Adam Breneman, co-founder of College Sports Co., shared:

"Having seen firsthand the impact of athlete-driven content and media networks, I know how powerful they can be in elevating the brands of athletes and creating new opportunities for NIL revenue. Rock Media will give Tennessee a significant advantage by connecting one of the country’s most passionate fan bases with their favorite athletes in ways never seen before. I’m excited to see how this will transform NIL for years to come."

As part of the launch, Rock Media will introduce a variety of original content series, featuring in-depth conversations with athletes and coaches, exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of Tennessee Athletics, and much more. Over the coming months, fans can look forward to even more original content, events, and interactive experiences that bring them closer to their favorite Volunteer athletes.
